The Pantry - Cafe, grocery and community hub

The Pantry, located at 133 Grace Street Invercargill is your local. It’s the place to grab a coffee with your neighbours and a hub for the community to gather for events, workshops and markets. Our cafe cabinets are filled with delicious goodies and our barista’s will make your favourite coffee with a range of cow and nut milks.

It’s also where you can find all of your grocery essentials in bulk plus many speciality items like local Southland honey, homebrew supplies and Boerewors sausages. Our friendly staff are on hand to help you get as much or as little as you need for your own baking, cooking and cleaning at home.

We are a package free shop so, bring your own containers or grab one of the clean jars we have on hand. If you can’t find it on the shelf, we can put in a special order from our fantastic local and national suppliers.

Meet Cathy.

I love shopping at the pantry, it has it all.

I’m trying to buy more consciously so I like that it’s so easy to refill your own containers and support a social enterprise that creates a community hub for so many.

Shopping at the pantry has helped me to be a bit more creative with our cooking as we have been trying more lentils and whole food based meals.

The kids love going down to the pantry. They usually do some colouring in while I shop and they love the space outside. So much room for them to run around and they love the community garden. The staff are so family friendly and always make us feel very welcome.

Just by shopping at The Pantry, we’re able to support local producers, host community workshops and be a hub for community groups like the mobility scooter club and our local knitters.
